Tomorrow is another day...

Guess what happened today?
Well lots!

For starters, we had a teacher's meeting right in the first period which lasted for 4 periods while the whole school went crazy. What else do u get if you get all the teachers in one room and let the students free?

It is interesting to see people fussing over petty issues, over and over and over again, ad nauseum.

I was remindd of our Software Engineering course where we learnt about Initiators, Followers, Silent People and Resistors.
Initiators are those who will keep in touch with technology and try out everything new.
Followers will be a step behind and will adopt the new thing only after someone else has already done so and put in a good word for it.
Silent people may or may not adopt the new technology.
Resistors will do all they can to make sure no one else adopts the new technology.

And do you want to know what the issue was?

We are going to have the Annual Prize Distribution tomorrow. There are two doors leading to the stage. One has the stairs coming from behind the stage and other other door has an enterance on the front side of the stage, in a little sort of passage.

So a three step laddar was made and added to the front of the stage (like stages normally have). The Resistors went ahead to say that this place has been without stairs for the past so many years, why bring in the step laddar. Their second point was that the huge ground now looks smaller because of the teeny tiny 2 ft by 3 ft stairs. Furthermore, if someone climbs it wearing high heels, they can fall. (this remains to be seen though).

It took a lot of nerve not to look back and glare.

I have no qualms in saying that I am a follower, but there are times I have been the other three also. Today I was too disgusted for words.

Have been thinking about giving up my job, now I just think when will be the most favorable time to do it. Maybe... well, tomorrow is another day!

who took my nick away?

come on, isnt it frustrating, when the nick you are used to using and the password that goes with it, for logging on to the various sites all over the web, and you create an account and you are told that that particular nick is already taken. Like who took it?? and why?

I want these nicks to be patented, so that we dont have to have a suffix of digits like itsme01 or smartguy1986... these are just too darn hate to remember.

Talking about remembering, I belong to that creed of people who want to use their grey matter and fill it up with unimportant details like account numbers, birthdates, phone numbers and addresses, anything with digits in it, instead of letting an Address Book or a Birthday Calendar do this job. Come to think of it, it is a proven fact that we ALREADY use only 10% of our brains. Now if we let these other web gizmos do this bit for us, what will the part of our brain that used to do this work, do now??

Pretty soon, Homo Sapiens will mutate into a form where the grey matter will shrink into a tiny bit (as already we arent using our imagination at all, we look towards the movie makers to imagine the movie for us, actor, actoress, clothes and all, et cetra et cetra).

Yeah, I also happen to be a member of that particular cult that enjoys reading, sometimes without putting the book down for hours on end, as opposed to watching it in a cinema or sitting in front of my computer or rarely on television for an hour or three hours, together with mindless ads telling me what to eat, how not to act in a cinema or what other movie to watch.

Our brain was given to us to be used, and well, that reminds me that I have forgotten the username and password I used to create an account here three or more months ago. Today my hubby (TODAY???) sent me his blogger's address and asked me to comment on them.

If he wants my comments, first of all he should start LISTENING (yeah right) to what i keep on saying otherwise. but dreams dont always come true and miracles happen seldom.

So while I was reading his blogs, and then i tried to post a comment with my nick, it told me, uh oh, we dont have this user name in our books, so i had to go to the books and write my nick in it.
It is a new one, so now i have a chance to use the brain to store yet another piece of character and digits...

Simple pleasures :)
